We use historical diaries to bring Indo history to life. The Indo Project invites you to contribute personal stories, historical accounts, or profiles of notable Indos to help preserve Indo heritage for future generations.
How to Submit Your Story
- Fill out the form below to submit your content.
- You can send a short proposal or a complete article along with photos.
- Submissions must be original and unpublished.
- We do not accept simultaneous submissions (your article should not be under review elsewhere when submitted to The Indo Project).
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Submit articles in Word format (Arial, 12pt font).
- Length: Ideally between 1,000 and 1,500 words (max).
- Photos: Preferably at least 1200px wide and 700px high.
- Submissions should focus on:
- Personal experiences, memoirs, and historical narratives related to the former Dutch East Indies, Indo culture, and history.
- Profiles of notable Indos or individuals with ties to the Dutch East Indies.
Writing Tips
- Write something you would want to read yourself.
- Engage your readers with a compelling opening that draws them in.
- Keep paragraphs short and use headings to improve readability.
- Internet readers have limited attention spans—make your content clear, concise, and well-structured.
Additional Requirements
- Please include a brief biography (a few lines) along with your contact information.
Publication
- If your story is selected for publication, we will notify you within 5 business days.
- We reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity and readability.
- All published stories will become part of The Indo Project Digital Archives, accessible to the public.
