  1. Hello
My name is Jacqueline Monti and I am researching my Oma, Opa, Great-Oma x2 and father’s story from DEI. All were born there except for one Great Oma who was born in British India.
I have inherited some amazing professional photographs from and Great Uncle (Opa’s brother) who worked for KPM and travelled widely throughout SEAsia and Europe. The photos of Indonesia pre-war are stunning. I would like to pass these on to where they can be archived or digitised.
Also, my family were interned in both Bangkinang and my Oma in Changi (sentenced to 10 years). I have his statements and stories etc. I am well underway with my research and am lucky enough to have many original documents and early DEI photographs.
