Jane Vogel Mantiri

Jane Vogel Mantiri is a proud Indo and honored to be serving on the Board of Directors for the Indo Project (TIP). She was born in Jakarta Indonesia and emigrated to the United States in 1960.
Jane is a retired trauma psychologist, an actor, US Army veteran, and advocate for social justice. Jane recently published her memoir, See JANE Run: A Primer on Love, Resilience, and the American Indo Dream. She is passionate about passing the legacy of her Indo heritage on to future generations. Her current creative endeavor is writing and producing a one woman show based on her memoir and dedicated to the global Indo community called See Jane Run HOME. Her goal is to educate, preserve, and memorialize Indo history and heritage in the international canon of humanity. All proceeds from this show will be donated to benefit the preservation of Indo heritage. Jane founded Advance Gender Equity in the Arts (AGE) in 2014. AGE is a Portland based nonprofit organization that empowers artists who have been marginalized because of gender, race, and age. Jane’s life experience as a child immigrant refugee informs her passion for healing, the arts, and social justice. She lives in Portland Oregon with her husband Charlie. They are the proud parents of two grown children, and are over the moon in love with their three grandchildren. Jane enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking and eating Indo food, playing bridge, and indulging a pickleball addiction.
