TIP_FELLOWSHIP_LOGOThe Indo Project (, an international non-profit organization and the #1 portal for the Indo Dutch community worldwide, invites eligible candidates to apply for The Indo Project Research Fellowship to promote and publish original research covering any aspect of the Indo Dutch community, its art, history, literature and/or culture.

Interested candidates who have either a BA/MA degree and/or are in the process of getting their MA/PhD degree can apply for this one-time award of $500. The application should accompany a cover letter, a research proposal (500 words min) and a CV. Applications can be sent via email to Dr. Inez Hollander Lake at Deadline: May 1st, 2016.

Fellowships are awarded only once a year (max. 1 TIP fellowship per year), provided we have incoming research proposals that fit the mission and work of The Indo Project. Please check our website to familiarize yourself with The Indo Project.

The Indo Project requires that the research be completed between 6 months-1 year of receiving the fellowship and will lead to an actual publication in a scholarly journal, in which The Indo Project will be properly acknowledged for making the research possible. Upon completion of the research and publication, the TIP Research Fellow will write a short report with, if possible, a link to the article for the TIP website and TIP newsletter.

The applicants should at least hold a BA/MA degree and/or be working towards an MA/PhD and focus on a topic that is aligned with The Indo Project mission and work.

The candidates will be shortlisted based on their CV and research proposal and be interviewed by the Executive Committee of The Indo Project. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to show proof of their BA and/or MA diplomas and send three letters of recommendation from academics in their field.

Our mission: The Indo Project is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and celebration of Indo Dutch culture and history through education and raising public awareness.
